Waiting to See How It All Works

OK so a couple days ago we went to have a finger prick to check the kid's vitamin D levels. I'm hoping they came up some because that means I'm actually getting the supplement in her and she's not pouring it down the sink. She has about half a dozen that she takes, it's getting harder to afford them. I meant to discuss the doses with her doctor. We do get to drop the calcium since it is in her diet now that she got milk back. There is one she gets twice a day that I meant to ask if she couldn't just use once a day in the morning with breakfast. Which reminds me that I need some yogurt or eggs to put it in since it appears to taste better to her in those. Her chew-able vitamins she throws in the floor. I requested a payoff of $14 yesterday that means I can buy one pack of pull-ups Friday and have money leftover. I am back up to $1 where I requested payout, only $9 to go and I can hit the button for next week. I work based on what I need for payout, then go fr...

Broke ain't funny anymore

I am broke and it's not funny anymore. I can't manage to make ends meet. My bank account is empty and my change jar is down to less than a $1. I have a video camera in the pawn shop. Luckily it is only $25 to get it out. I just scrounged together change to get gas after therapy for tomorrow had to be cancelled. The soon to be ex and the kid ran out on their way back. All I had to do was pay attention and give them gas money to put gas in on the way, then they'd have made it home and little bit would have therapy tomorrow. I've been thinking that the five days a week is starting to take it's toll on the budget and I'm probably right. There is one day she has to be picked up from school. At least the bus picks her up and brings her home the other three days. That helps but what happens if the school budgets get cut? She's the only child her age down this way, I'll have to take her and pick her up. I think that I have to reduce her therapy slowly becaus...

Back to Work!!

It has been two weeks since my computer tore up. I have it back temporarily at the moment and am able to work. In fact I began the process of lowering bills already. My mother has had it for two weeks and finally said it was working well enough that I can use it. It is humming but it connects to the Internet and it stays on. I have to make up for the last two weeks and if I am online I find myself easily distracted so I decided to work offline while I catch up. I even lowered my Internet bill for the time being. My mother purchased some groceries and gave me some money since I had been out of work and did not have a payday this past week. I put the groceries away figuring that we could make them last a few weeks and then I began the budgeting of the money that she gave me. First thing was to get my television out of the pawnshop, $62.50. (My youngest had been promised the Peanut Festival on Special Citizens Day) She had a blast dragging me on rides that made me feel older tha...

UGGH!!! Can it Get Any Worse??

That is a rhetorical question, not a challenge. I finally got enough figures for next month's expenses  to realize that they are more than my projected income for next month. That is not a good thing. I was able to look at my light bill this morning and the new budget amount is $245. We were $96.29 under budget this month which is good at the end of the year if the trend continues, bad at the moment because I'll be giving them extra money that I desperately need in my pocket right now. My Internet bill so I can continue to work is $50.50 and I am thinking of having the Internet cut off for a month or so until I get caught up. I already turned the cable off. Of course I could just go to a prepaid plan and only use the Internet for work instead of the million other things I use it for. The rest of the expenses are not important at the moment as sitting down and actually looking at the numbers past my regular monthly expenses would cause my to panic and do something else stupid. ...

Figuring It Out Again......

Learning to do everything alone would talk a bit of time. At the moment I am attempting to figure out just how many more hours I can get out of my day. There are always additional expenses at the end of the year but this year they seem to be hitting me harder than ever. I am in no position to take care of everything I can only hope that things manage to work out someway. I seem to remember having this same problem this time last year, the only difference is that this time there is no changing my mind. I am getting a divorce which will once again make me a single parent. This time my child has special needs that require time, attention and money to take care of. In September of 2010 I made the decision to stop writing for other people and manage with what I could earn writing my own content in the time available to me. That change lasted almost one year before circumstances forced me to go back to private clients. This time everything has changed and I have no choice but to work every...

Frustrations

IWhat I'm thinking at the moment does't fit on either my family or my working blog so it's going here. I'm a freelance writer for those of you that don't know. I work from home producing content for various websites. Well recently a site that I used to earn enough to cover the bills on when I didn't have outside work there has been a drastic change in the way payments are now made. Although only $20 of the earnings I'll receive on the 10th are from the previous upfront payment system. The rest was from ad revenue. July payout I had $135 in upfront payments. Well, it's kind of obvious I was more than a little distracted the last month the system did me any good. The new changes are being made strictly with profit in mind. Not the writers and an ignorant, arrogant, lying jackass is screaming that it's in EVERYONE'S best interest. Not to be bitchy or anything but I'm betting that the donkey couldn't afford my basic needs never mind my want...
