Hot Flash- Energized

The room began filling with heat from the bright bulbs of the heater and she felt the chill leave her bones. Something about the cold weather made her want to snuggle deeper into the blankets but she know the urge must be resisted. A final surge of heat energized her.

What is she energized for? What is it about the cold that makes the energy leave us? Does she have something special to do?

She has something she has to do which will make the cold fall away when she does it. I get that way in the cold, too.

The old house had to be up to code in less than a week. The wiring was fried, and the walls were crumbling. Demolition seemed to be the only answer but the irrational woman that had hired him insisted that it had to be fixed. It seemed she had a strange attachment to this pile of rotting lumber. The week passed and the house was no where near ready. She came in slamming doors leaving piles of rubble in her wake as the fragile walls gave way. Cracks in the foundation widened as she continued the tirade until the ceiling came down on her.
