C is for Calm

It's been so long that I'm not sure what it is anymore but I think I'm beginning to find calm. It is the feeling that allows you to find contentment in the smallest things. It does not have to be something major, it can be something as simple as a gentle breeze.

There are a number of things that have a calming effect; I look forward to being able to do them. What are they? I'll tell you in no particular order.

Walking on the beach.
Drinking a beer by a bonfire.
Sitting in front of a fireplace.
Reading a book.
Spending time alone just thinking or writing just to write.

Calm is a nice feeling, and one that has been missed the last few years. Slowly it is returning that is why C is for calm.

Agreed, extended times of calm and peace can be difficult to find in today's world. I head into the wilderness for a walk pretty much every chance I get. It refreshes me so I can return to the chaos with a clear head and patience for others. Sometimes music helps. Prayer always helps. A good book. Beer by a fire. Writing. Hey, when did I start copying your list?
Yesterday's post about balance, today's about calm-- I have come to the right place!!! Nice to meet you and I look forward to visiting you again.

Calm and contentment are gifts to be treasured. Sometimes we have to be in chaos before we appreciate calm. To many it seems boring but I find it exhilarating.

My little girl would love a walk through the woods, but the best I can do at the moment is to take her to the park this weekend.

The chaos always makes me appreciate the calm more.

Yes, they are and far to many people don't have them.

Crystal (100)

He kept shouting out over the newscaster. The noise was ringing in her ears, making her head pound and her ears build pressure. Blood pressure rising with her temper she picked up the glass and flung it. “What the hell are you doing?” “Trying to get you to shut up.” “You could have killed me.” “It’d have been better than breaking my crystal.” _________________________________________________________________________________ Who is she? Why would she rather kill him then break her crystal? The word is crystal . The limit for this post was 100 words, this one comes in at 63. Click the link to be taken to M3 and the official rules.
