Sensory Overload

We like to keep to ourselves for a number of reasons. Namely sensory overload. This is when all of your senses work at once and you cannot shut anything out. Let's see what happens when we can't get rid of the sights, sounds and smells.

There are those that do not understand and never will. It is a world of judgement that we live in, and people are quick to judge what they do not understand. When you need space people take it personally, and talk out the wrong end.

Funny though they cannot seem to find the courage to say what they would post to social media to your face. It is amusing to watch the reactions of those that do not understand that those posting do not know what they are posting about. It leads to several others posting out their rear ends in response to the posts.

The two of us have no choice but to shut ourselves off from the world at times. We do not do well with excessive contact with the outside world. I have a diagnosis of panic disorder with agoraphobia. There is an article about it that will explain what I go through daily.

It took years to get my diagnosis and now that I have it I am doing better. Well, sort of. I try. Now it's time to go back to reality.
